Jillian Nellie Hennely was born on 25 November 1968. She is an accomplished Canadian actress and performer who has made a significant contribution to American television. Her name has been well-known due to her portrayals in the roles of Claire Kincaid in Law & Order as well as Crossing Jordan. Hennessy is also famous for her outstanding performances in RoboCop 3 Most Wanted. Other films comprise Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) and The Acting Class. The acting career of Hennessy began in 1988 when she and her sister played twin callgirls in Dead Ringers. In 1990, she briefly made an appearance in a short stint on Broadway in the role of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. She then moved to sci-fi, and portrayed her first role as Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. Her breakthrough came after the season ended, when she was cast as Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order. The role was a hit with the viewers for three seasons before the show ended in 1996. Parker is known for her role in films as well as television series including RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys by the Side and The West Wing Angels of America. The actress was awarded an Golden Globe Award for Best actress and also the Emmy Award. Parker received the Tony Award 2001 for Best Actress in the Broadway Play Proof.
