Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting after enrolling in Stanford University. Her early critical successes included parts in movies like Pleasantville and Election but it was her role as Elle Woods in the box office hit Legally Blonde that marked a turning point in her career. Witherspoon later won the Academy Award in the year 2005 for her role in Walk the Line. Water for Elephants this means conflict and Wild are among her most recent movies, for which she was considered for nomination to an Oscar. Witherspoon also enjoyed success in the world of television, as a producer and co-star on David E. Kelley's Award-winning TV series Big Little Lies. Witherspoon was the child of a physician as well as a nurse. She was given birth to Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon March 22 in 1976. She was born at New Orleans Louisiana. In the comedy The Invisible Man, 2003 she made her debut in a feature film. After that, she went on to appear in a number of TV shows, like House of Lies Whitney and Better Call Saul. As well as her acting work as a performer, she's appeared in films like The Dictator or The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Apart from her acting work, she's an excellent painter, and exhibits her work at several galleries.
